Walgreens 1/8 - 1/14/12 Scenarios

Walgreens 1/8 - 1/14/12  Scenarios (The ad can be found online here.)

Review on how to do the deals at Walgreens can be found here.
Ad highlights for this week can be found here.

Below are my shopping scenarios for the week.  Please feel free to share your deal runs!

Red coupons are manuf. cpns (insert, printables, etc.).
Green coupons are store coupons (in-ads, monthly booklets, etc.).
Blue coupons are RR's.

I wasn't feeling well so my hubby was kind enough to go out for me. :)  So I made a list of items that I really wanted to get.  Below are the deals that I focused on.  I'll tweak it later and update when I do.

Colgate Total toothpaste, 4 oz (get ones w/ bonus coupons) - 2/$6, gives $4 RR wyb 2
Chex Mix 5.5 or 8.75 oz bags on 4/$6 sale, gives $2 RR wyb 4 (This is a national Catalina deal.)
Nestle candy 1.5 to 2.1 oz., Mentos 1.32 oz. $.39 w/in ad cpn, page 4 (to use as fillers)

Final Tallies and Notes:
Doing these three orders, he bought $21.83 worth of products but only paid $1.83 (before tax)!!!  Plus I have a $2 RR to use later!

If you don't have any RR's to start, then you would pay $5.83 before tax depending on your coupons you have on hand.  Plus, you will have a $2 RR to use towards another deal.

There is also a $0.75/1 insert coupon for Colgate in the 01/01/11 SmartSource.

The Syntha RR is listed as $1.89 in the ad.  I don't think they can program that amount so that is why I was thinking it would generate a $2 RR instead.

The Chex Mix RR deal is actually a national promotion by the Catalina Company.  Sometimes these will work at Walgreens.
The details are as follows:
Buy 3, get a $1 RR
Buy 4, get a $2 RR
Buy 5 or more, get a $3 RR.

I apologize for the way this post looks.  I think Blogger is having the hiccups!
